UC Regents Consider Tuition Hike After 6-Year Freeze

The University of California Regents are considering a proposal to hike student tuition, a move that would end a six-year tuition freeze. Students and faculty blasted the proposed tuition and fee hike, while unions called for wage increases. One student asked the university system to join a consortium of universities pushing for scholarships for students displaced by conflicts, including refugees from the war in Syria.
