Health care and political leaders are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Medi-Cal, the state’s health care program for low-income Californians. They praised the program’s accomplishments in providing health care over the last five decades, calling the program “one of California’s greatest triumphs.” Health advocates are also looking forward to improving and expanding the program in its next half-century.
