Fifty Years After Its Founding, the Black Panther Party's Legacy Endures

This month marks the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the Black Panther Party. Though the organization disbanded more than three decades ago, its influence on the present is unmistakable. From its efforts combating police violence to its struggle for economic justice, the Panthers' history continues to inform social movements around the world. KPFA’s Andrew Klein files this report from Oakland, where he spoke with several ex-Panthers about the Party’s legacy.
