Mothers of Berkeley Balcony Collapse Victims Testify as CA Legislators Debate Oversight Bill

More than a year after the Berkeley apartment balcony collapse that killed 6, including 5 Irish nationals and injured several other UC students, the CA Assembly Appropriations Committee is debating legislation to enact more oversight over the construction industry. The Committee heard testimony this week from mothers of the victims, survivors, and the vice consul for Ireland in support of the bill, SB 465.
