Gangs, Tampons Among Issues Lawmakers Vote On

State lawmakers have held marathon floor sessions to act on bills before a Friday deadline. Senate and Assembly bills have to pass out of their house of origination, where they were first introduced, in order to get hearings in the other house and have a chance of passing into law. Bills facing the deadline include measures on issues ranging from police gang databases to taxes on feminine hygiene products. Christopher Martinez reports from Sacramento.
