Rank-and-file members of some of the largest unions in the country are choosing to go against their international leadership and endorse senator Bernie Sanders as their candidate of choice in the upcoming California Democratic Primary. Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, is the candidate of the majority of the unions, such as the Service Employees International Union, the United Food and Commercial Workers, and the American Federation of Teachers.
