Congress is poised to vote on legislation aimed at increasing screening for Syrian and Iraqi refugees, including new FBI background checks. The vote will come as mostly Republican governors clamor for a halt to President Barak Obama’s plans to admit 10 thousand Syrian refugees fleeing the 4-year war in their home country. Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie has upped the ante, saying there should be a ban on Syrian refugees including orphans under five years old. Christopher Martinez reports.
