A local chapter of the national anti-war group Code Pink gathered in Berkeley today, marking the 13th Anniversary of the opening of the Guantanamo Bay Prison in Cuba. The group is eager to connect the US military's War on Terror, responsible for the birth of the notorious Guantanamo detention and interrogation site, to domestic issues of rampant police violence against people of color and the general militarization of law enforcement.
