State lawmakers held a hearing at the Capitol to look into what California’s colleges and universities are doing to protect students from sexual violence. The joint hearing of the Assembly Higher Education and Joint Legislative Audit committees comes a week after the state auditor found problems in how universities handle sexual violence and sexual harassment complaints.
