L.A. County Approves Funding For New Women's Jail

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has approved funding for a new women's jail facility in Mira Loma. The vote included one abstention from Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas, who refused to approve the site without a larger plan in place to overhaul the county's troubled jail system.
