Backlash over the government shutdown has begun against Republican lawmakers in California. Democrats are targeting Representative Jeff Denham, who represents a Northern California swing district that includes Modesto and surrounding areas. Denham's originally from the solidly Democratic city of Hawthorne in L.A. County, where residents are worried that a prolonged government shutdown will result in tenants losing their government-subsidized housing. Pacifica's Dan Fritz reports from Hawthorne.
