Lethal Injection Procedures In Trouble in California, Other States

California is dropping its efforts to use a 3-drug lethal injection for executions, opening the way for plans to use a single drug lethal injection. The move means California will likely not schedule executions for at least another year. Death penalty opponents say it’s another sign the death penalty will ultimately be abolished. Meanwhile, a judge in Georgia has temporarily halted a scheduled Monday execution because of a controversy over that state’s lethal injection drugs. Christopher Martinez reports.
