Governor Brown Dedicates Desert Power Line Amid Protests

Governor Jerry Brown traveled to the Southern California city of Alpine today to dedicate a new power line that will bring wind and solar energy through the desert from Imperial County to San Diego. Brown said the power is vital for the area while the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station remains offline. Local groups opposed to the construction, since its inception, held a protest during the ceremony. Pacifica's Dan Fritz reports from Southern California.
