Labor Leaders in Sacramento Pushing Domestic Workers Bill of Rights


Labor leaders joined domestic workers and Democratic lawmakers at the state capitol Wednesday to support a “Domestic Workers Bill of Rights”. AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka joined the bill’s author Tom Ammiano in a push to close a loophole in state law that excludes domestic workers from rights that other workers enjoy—like overtime pay and rest breaks. Christopher Martinez reports from Sacramento.
