Californians To Receive $18 Billion In Foreclosure Settlement

California Attorney General Kamala Harris appeared in Los Angeles today to announce California's share of the multi-state settlement, $18 billion, that she called the "California commitment." Last year, Attorney General Harris withdrew from settlement negotiations after California was offered only $4 billion, which is roughly the amount that will go to residents of Los Angeles.
