Polls show that Los Angeles City Council member Janice Hahn has a commanding eight point lead over her opponent on the eve of tomorrow’s special election for the 36th Congressional seat. Hahn is up against Republican Craig Huey in a heavily Democratic district in Los Angeles County’s southbay. Huey’s campaign says it’s relying on voter discontent and has pledged to cut spending in Washington. Today, Huey received an endorsement from a high profile veterans group. Hahn accused Huey of a endorsing a slew of sexist and racist ads. Pacifica’s Ernesto Arce has more from Southern California.
