Forest Activists Fignt Lumber Company's SLAPP Lawsuit

A Canadian logging company and Greenpeace faced off in court Thursday afternoon. Greenpeace is asking a federal judge to throw out a lawsuit it claims is a corporate attack on dissent and free speech. The defendants say the legal action by the company is a classic “strategic lawsuit against public participation,” also known as a SLAPP lawsuit.
