California Democratic Party activists are targeting two San Joaquin Valley congressional districts hoping to unseat long-term Republican incumbents. The June 5th primary election won’t decide those races but could be an indicator of whether they will be successful in doing so. Republicans Devin Nunes in California’s 22nd district and Jeff Denham in the 10th district will be facing their stiffest challenge so far. Not only are Democrats raising lots of cash, activists from the Bay Area and elsewhere are joining locals in on-the-ground campaign organizing. Vic Bedoian reports from Fresno.
