Undocumented youths brought into the country as children have become a trading chip in the Trump administration’s efforts to enact sweeping immigration policy changes. Many of the undocumented youths are calling the Trump proposal a “Sophie’s choice” that pits the fate of the youths against that of their parents, families and communities. The issue is heating up as the DACA program faces termination in March, and as lawmakers face the February end of the latest short-term budget deal.
