Rep. Denham in hotseat at 10th C.D. forum

Democrats are targeting 23 republican held seats in the 2018 congressional elections in districts where Clinton won the popular vote, but a republican incumbent held on to the congressional seat. Seven of these districts are in California including the 10th in the San Joaquin valley about 90 miles east of San Francisco. The district includes the towns of modesto, Tracy and Turlock. The valley is an agricultural behemoth that produces half of the fruits nuts and vegetables grown in the U.S. Latinos are the largest ethnic group at 44% of the population. In recent years new housing developments have attracted a commuter population trying to escape exorbitant housing prices in nearby San Jose and Silicon Valley. The district has switched back and forth between republicans and democrats several times in the last 20 years.
Tom Herriman reports from Denair, where Congressman Jeff Denham recently faced down a crowd of over a thousand constituents, many of whom want to vote him out of office.
