Cal State University Sees Rising Diversity, Falling Funding

A union representing California State University faculty says public funding for the university system has been falling, at the same time that the number of students of color has been rising. In the words of one faculty member, “as the student body of the CSU became darker, funding became lighter.” The union presented its new report, called “Equity Interrupted, How California is Cheating its Future,” at a news conference at the union office in Sacramento.
