Xavier Becerra Picked as California's 1st Latino Attorney General

Governor Jerry Brown has appointed democratic congressmember Xavier Becerra to be California’s next attorney general. Becerra will fill the vacancy created when current attorney general Kamala Harris won election to the US senate. Progressives are hailing the choice of Becerra as the person to lead California’s fight against conservative policies of a Donald Trump administration.
