Law to Protect SF Teachers from Eviction Struck Down in Court

A superior court judge struck down a San Francisco City Ordinance that would have made it illegal to evict teachers and childcare providers during the school year. The "educator eviction" law was passed unanimously by the San Francisco Supervisors to support teachers and prevent more educators from being priced out of the city. The Judge ruled that the law was invalid and pre-empted by state law.
