The first bookstore in the country dedicated to African American literature and culture will soon be back in San Francisco where it was born. Marcus Books, founded in 1960, will be stocking a few bookshelves at the African American Art and Culture Complex in the Fillmore District, a few blocks away from the bookstore’s first home.
