Federal Funds to Combat Zika Virus Are Running Out, CDC and Health Advocates Call On Congress to Act

This week, the director of the Centers for Disease Control warned that federal funds to fight the Zika virus are nearly gone. Top public health officials, parents, and family advocates are calling on Congress to pass a bipartisan funding measure to fight the virus. Meanwhile federal agencies are scrambling to assemble funding to combat the virus, largely diverted from ebola assistance.
