The Democratic Party has proposed a platform that some are calling the most progressive platform in the history of the party. The proposed platform includes endorsement of doubling the minimum wage, enacting a tax on carbon, and legalizing marijuana. Others activists are criticizing the proposed platform for failing to include things like opposition to the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal, single-payer Medicare for All health care, and a ban on fracking.
