SCOTUS UP HOLDS AFFIRMATIVE ACTION AT U.T. AUSTIN

In a 4-3 decision the supreme court ruled that the university of Texas can continue its affirmative action process today. The ruling comes as a surprise to many lawyers and civil rights advocates who were relieved that justice Kennedy- the courts swing vote- sided with the majority to uphold UT Austin's admission policies as constitutional.
