SF Mayor Announces Police Reform Plans

San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee is proposing to spend $17.5 million on police reforms and violence prevention. The mayor made the announcement in a board meeting where several county supervisors asked pointed questions about police shooting incidents and racist texts by police officers, incidents that have led to community outrage, hunger strikes, and calls for the ouster of city Police Chief Greg Suhr.
