We’ve heard much about how the US should handle Syrian refugees. But we have our own refugee crisis in the Americas. Violence and instability in Central American countries, largely supported by US policies and actions, has led to waves of immigrants seeking asylum coming to our borders. The US government announced renewed deportation raids at the beginning of the year, as advocates continue to battle in court over immigrants’ rights.
