San Francisco Public Defender Jeff Adachi released text messages allegedly exchanged between former members of the SFPD showing racism and homophobic sentiments today. The current text scandal is the second to come to light in just a few years tarnishing a relationship with San Francisco’s communities of color that is already rocky after the shooting to death of Mario woods and the acquittal of the officers involved in the shooting of Alex Nieto.
