San Francicsco's election results were a mixed bag for housing activists last night. Measures F, an attempt to curb short term rental activity and I which sought to place an a hold on building luxury housing in the Mission District both lost by double digit margins. Supporters of affordable housing do not count the night as a complete loss however, with the victory of the largest affordable housing bond in the cities history and the apparent election of former Supervisor Aaron Peskin who campaigned on affordable housing.
