The fighting in Yemen has led to a growing humanitarian crisis, with hospital evacuations and an increasing number of children killed and injured. Now activists are saying American citizens in Yemen have been abandoned by the US government, which is rejecting calls to evacuate Americans stuck in Yemen. Civil rights organizations and a San Francisco supervisor gathered at city hall to call for a swift evacuation, and for the issuance of travel documents to US citizens trying to leave the war-torn country.
