Last November voters in San Benito County overwhelmingly approved a measure to ban fracking and other extreme oil extraction methods in the county. Today county residents, as well as fracking opponents across California, are celebrating a major victory, because the Citadel Exploration, a California-based oil company, decided to drop its lawsuit against the ban, leaving the county ordinance in place.
