In Oakland, oral arguments were held at the Alameda County Superior Court to protect honeybees from neonictinoids, a class of pesticides proven toxic to bees and other pollinators. Environmental and food safety groups represented by Earthjustice filed the legal challenge against the California Department of Pesticide Regulation in an attempt to limit the use of the chemicals.
