Hundreds of activists gathered at the state capitol to support legislation to extend health care to all Californians, including undocumented immigrants who were left out of the federal “Affordable Care Act.” The activists are hoping the measure will close a loophole in California’s health coverage, send a message to congress about immigrant rights, and even lead to single-payor health care reform.
