Governor Brown's New Delta Water Plan Reduces Habitat Conservation

California Governor Jerry Brown has unveiled a stripped-down version of his plan to build tunnels to divert water around the Bay Delta. The new version slashes habitat restoration plans by more than two-thirds compared to the original plan. Brown calls the plan "imperative" to stabilize water supplies. Opponents call it a water grab.
