Oakland teachers withhold unpaid work in contract protest



A novel form of labor protest has sprung up in the Oakland Unified School District, where teachers at several schools have adopted a work-to-rule tactic....to put pressure on the school district to settle contract negotiations that have been going on since 2013 when the old contract expired.

Teachers are balking at what they consider to be a paltry wage offer from the School District, and demands to weaken the seniority system. Tom Herriman reports from Oakland.
