On the first day of the 2015 legislative session and Governor Brown's inauguration, dozens of demonstrators gathered on the south steps of the State Capitol building to raise awareness about genetically modified ingredients. After losing at the ballot box in 2012 in California, in Washington in 2013, and in Oregon and Colorado in 2014, proponents of labeling have a new target.
