Oakland Chamber of Commerce Pushes Alternative Minimum Wage Plan

Low wage workers in Oakland and their supporters rallied outside the Chamber of Commerce offices to protest a proposal by the business group for an alternative plan raising the minimum wage. A proposal to raise the minimum wage to $12.25 an hour by next March already has qualified for the November ballot. The chamber is pressing for the City Council to put a competing measure on the ballot. Shora Zamani reports.
