Watered Down Version of Sexual Assault Bill Passes Assembly Committee



Juvenile sex offenders in California may be required to attend treatment programs rather than face a mandatory minimum sentence. The state Assembly's Committee on Public Safety approved a watered down version of Audrie's Law. The bill mandates counseling for juvenile sex offenders and increases punishments for those who share photographs of their crime. Nick St. Charles filed this report.
