Repression of Sunnis Paved Way for ISIL Takeover of Cities


The rapid advance of fighters from the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant caught many US observers off-guard. But long-standing grievances among members of Iraq's minority Sunni population have enabled the group to conquer Iraq's second largest city, Mosul. It's likely the takeover means Iraq will now be plunged once again into all-out sectarian war. Maryam Labib reports.
