Business owners in Fruitvale are pushing back against AC Transit's proposal to create a rapid bus line, or BRT, that would run from downtown Oakland to downtown San Leandro. Supporters of the project say it will provide higher efficiency transportation between the two downtown areas, using buses with dedicated lanes and communication systems to control traffic lights.
