Environmentalists Urge East Bay Water District to Support Preservation of Mokelumne River


Legislation to preserve California's Mokelumne River and designate it as wild and scenic passed the State Senate and is awaiting approval by the Assembly. But representatives from several water districts are opposing it, saying their communities depend on the Mokelumne for reservoir water.
