A bill to protect sub-contracted temp workers from work-place abuses passed a key hurdle in the State Senate Wednesday, winning approval from the Senate Labor Committee. The bill’s author, Democratic Assemblymember Roger Hernandez, was joined by labor leaders at the state capitol today to call for support as the measure works its way through the legislature.
