An Artesia woman is accusing the Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Department of mishandling a home invasion case in which she was victimized.
54-year old Vivica Keyes, an African-American woman, says racial bias influenced the deputies’ treatment of her case. She alleges she was assaulted by Jason Damour, a 29-year old white male, after he broke into her home in January.
