Fast food workers around the country held strikes in a push for a 15-dollar an hour wage and the right to join a union. The action spread across the nation, including a walkout by fast-food workers at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington, and workers at McDonalds and other fast food restaurants in a hundred cities. Activists in the Bay Area converged at a McDonalds restaurant near the Oakland County Building, with their call for “15 dollars and a union.” Christopher Martinez files this report.
