Black Friday Protest at Bay Area Walmart Among 1,500 Nationwide Targeting Poverty Wages

Walmart workers held strikes and demonstrations at over 1500 Walmart stores on Black Friday, November 29, the busiest shopping day of the year. Striking Walmart workers were joined by thousands of trade unionists, students, public officials and neighbors to protest low wages and poor working conditions at the world’s largest private employer. Nearly 2,000 demonstrators converged on the San Leandro Walmart on Hesperien Blvd. Tom Herriman has the story.
