Oakland City Attorney Barbara Parker announced today a groundbreaking verdict in a civil lawsuit against a fraudulent immigration consulting company, American Legal Services, which operated out of three offices in Oakland. Among those filling the hearing room in Oakland City Hall were members of 18 families who were the focus of the case, including the son of a couple who was deported as a result of the company's actions.
