Port of Oakland Truck Drivers Picket to Demand Better Working Conditions

Shipping slowed on Monday at the Port of Oakland, as frustrated truck drivers held their second picket line in two months. Members of the Port of Oakland Trucker Association held the labor action to protest long waiting times that cut into earnings, the high cost of meeting new air quality standards, and dehumanizing treatment while in the port waiting for loads. Tom Herriman reports from Oakland’s waterfront.
