Guatemalan War Criminal Convicted in Riverside, Faces Deportation

A former Guatemalan soldier wanted for his role in one of the worst war crimes in recent Latin American history was convicted this morning of lying on his application to become a U.S. citizen. Federal prosecutors say 55 year-old Jorge Sosa concealed his role in the massacre of some 250 people in a Guatemalan village in 1982. Pacifica KPFK’s Ernesto Arce files this report from Los Angeles.
